Silvey Arbor flange

Anyone have the ability and time to build an arbor flange for my Silvey grinder. Madsens is $85 as they want to sell a matched set (Arbor plus flange). I have a small 2.75” arbor set on my machine but want to utilize this larger arbor I have, just need a flange.
I like the large setup much better. Seems like there is less wheel deflection, Maybe it’s just me though.

The nut screws on at a slight angle due to the threads, so it’s only contacting the grinding wheel on one corner of the nut. Its not that secure and didn’t run super smooth that way, mainly when I contacted the wheel with the dressers. Maybe the guy didn’t use it that way? He had a couple SDM4 and preferred those I think you mentioned. Not a big deal. I have it squared away now.

Sorry I missed this thread originally. I've made arbors, both large and small for the Silvey/Simington grinders.

All you need is the large clamp plate?

I can make them as needed. There is not enough demand and they are too labor intensive to keep in stock.
