Show off your tillers, plows, harrows etc. here. Here's mine. Cub Cadet rear tine with Honda power, Echo TC-210, MTD front tine with B&S power that surprisingly works very well. Actually better than a rear tine in some ways. Also my grandfather's early 50's Dearborn plow that gets pulled with my FergusonTO-35.

My $40 Craftsman I picked up in 2019. Cleaned carb and a tire.

Here is my Troybilt Junior. Needed a carburetor when I got it. All fixed! Runs Great!View attachment 372738

My stepdad had the Tuffy, which was a later version of that one. It worked well enough, but didn't have a neutral or transport position in the gear box. You had to unpin the wheels so they would freewheel. It was easier just to carry it.

I had one too and it worked well for what it was. I now have this:

I bought a used Cub Cadet with a shaft driven 4 lug rear locking axle at an auction about a month ago. Once I have it running and driving, I am making a plow or tiller for it as I have been doing larger and larger plots.

Small, high RPM tillers are the bomb for getting your soil really fine just before digging rows. Overall, I prefer front tine tillers, they just dig better for me. Of course, that's what I grew up on so that would make sense. As soon as I could reach the handlebars, Dad had me using an ancient Western Auto example with the tines stuck in drive and on its second or third engine. Really had to dig my heels in to keep it from running away on me!

If I ever get a new tiller it's gonna be a Merry Tiller, those are sweet: https://www.mackissic.com/merry-tiller/

Yeah! Junior has no neutral, have to pull the wheel pins, to move it.

When I was a kid those Troy Bilts were viewed as another league compared to everything else. They would send catalogs to our house and I would gaze at the awesomeness therein. They had TV commercials of someone using their vibration free Troy Bilt, steering with just one hand. Of course, it helped that they were tilling potting soil.

Bought mine for $75. Drained rain water and oil from the transmission and PTO assembly, replaced wheel seals, rebuilt PTO with new bronze gear, bearings, seals, new drive belt, refilled with fresh fluids, tinkered with the fully adjustable carb, etc. Runs surprisingly well. Did all this back in about 2003 when i bought it, all parts were readily available then, was able to buy owners manual and parts manual off the bay. Researching serial numbers showed mined originally had an 8hp Briggs. The 6ph Tecumseh is a 91 or 93, i forget exactly. Yahoo groups used to have a Troy-Bilt owners club, ran by a long time GardenWay dealer by the name of Bill Rodgers. He was able to provide my serial number research. Think he was in his early seventies twenty years ago. Bought the blade off the bay shortly after i acquired it, it does push snow, just not deep snow.

Repowered Troy-Bilt. Origional engine had a blown connecting rod. Predator was a direct bolt on, used the non-California version, the main jet is slightly larger.

Also have a Ryobi 410r.

For the Troy-bilt folks, here is a serial number list that shows the year produced. I have a bit of other servicing and assembling information, including the transmission tech manual.
