Shindaiwa trimmer head?

I have a Shindaiwa 375 LH Speed Feed trimmer head, (pn 78890-18001), that I need the cover for it. I bought a X472000012 cover from Amazon but it is too big in diameter. I also purchased a X472000070 and it would not fit although the diameter was the right size. The diameter of my trimmer head cover is approx 4 inches. The X472000012 I received is approx. 4-5/8 inches.

X472000012 is the right part number. X472000070 is for the newer 400 heads. You received the right part number but the wrong part. The caps that are 4 5/8" are for the larger 450 heads.

Thanks for the reply. This is the package that I received. I am leery of reordering them because I cannot find any advertised with the dimensions posted. Any ideas of where I can get the correct one?

If I was in your situation, I would order a 400 head, keep the X472000070 cap for a replacement, and return the incorrectly labeled cap. The 400 heads hold close to twice the string of the 375 even though they're about the same physical size.

I just ordered the cover from your ebay post. Hate to buy the complete head when I only need the cover. Hopefully it will fit.
