Gotta like the old school 88ers
Ported 266 a great cord wood saw run all day long .Just put new Meteor piston in my builder 288 project, bout to get to run it for real soon, so far I Like it. Snappy, Schweet old school style, it’s like a 266…but with power some 266s might be sailing soon.
Great old saws yes, cool and easy to work on. But for that smaller wood, I like my smaller lighter faster smoother 2156/2159s. When the wood gets bigger, I like a ported 70 or 80cc. The 266 is kind of a weird tweener size/weight. I spose I should try one 20” with an 8 pin. They seem like a 22” bar would suit them. Gonna try a ported 272.Ported 266 a great cord wood saw run all day long .
I got my saw back yesterday from @huskihl . I've ran a lot of 372s but let's just say I have never ran anything like this he did an excellent job.
Thanks man

Yes sir quite nicer to run as well
Pretty solid for a non-XP saw
Stock for stock, about 10% faster than a 390.Better than a 390? Xp or not we all know it’s a “pro” saw lol.
Sure is a fun sawDefinitely above the class runner. Got me wanting one like yours especially with these hot temps outside makin 2-3 minute shutdown restarts pain in the arse for my 462 and 500i.
I like the how it doesn't blow chips in your face when dawged in with the motor down. I have had a lot of problems with hood and air filter cover rattling apart causing un wanted vibrations. The av is just nicer to run as well.........................In what way? Just curious
Does it have the grey springs (stock) or the blue ones (hard/stock XPW)?Yes sir quite nicer to run as well
