That’s an old, heavily used, Tecomec / Efco / . . . grinder (sold under a few different brand names). Did I mention “old“ and “heavily used“?

It does have the reversible switch which some guys like. It is missing the clear side guards.

I can get you a brand new one, with three, brand new wheels, for about $220 - shipped. If it is missing any of the wheels, add in at least $20 each. Add another $15 for the dressing brunch and wheel template.

Because of its age, I would not go over $50 complete, and only if I really wanted that one.

Good, clean, newer ones don’t come up that often, but might go for as much as $150. Brand new “clone“ grinders are about $100; not as good quality, but in newer condition.

Is the $220.00 one reversible? What are the advantages/ disadvantages to a reversible unit? Shorter motor life? Less burring? Thank you.

Reversible motors banned by OSHA, ANSI, etc. if wheel explodes it comes towards the users face.

Some people override this by wiring in their own switches.

Makes a slightly nicer finish on the left side cutters, for the first second or two of cutting.

This was $180 a year or so ago. $220 several weeks ago. Increased cost may be partially due to the global shipping problems. This one is not a ‘clone’ / copy.

I might be interested in a tecomec super jolly chainsaw grinder up above. Do you have one in that $220 price point Philbert?

I am not in the grinder business. That link is for one of the key US Tecomec distributors He sells on eBay, and is a good guy to deal with. You can check out his other listings, or send him a question if interested
