With the popularity of this .22 modded, who has some pics? Stock, tactical or otherwise. I'm working on mine and hope to have some pics soon. So far I've got the TacSol Vantage stock, Kidd aftermarket bolt and trigger group, Kidd 18" LW fluted bull barrel, Burris Fullfield E1 4.5-14x42 scope w/Leupold PRW rings. Maybe I'll be finished this weekend.

I need to find one with a threaded barrel already to try our suppressor out on. I don't know if it will cycle with subsonic but it would knock the crack down on the normal speed ammo.

This is my all time favorite custom 22 rifle. Ruger action, Volquartsen barrel and Volquartsen competition aluminum stock. Nikon 4.5x14-40 scope. Custom trigger, 2 lbs it's actually a stock ruger trigger that my fil worked over for me. He can make any stock ruger trigger outperform any custom trigger imo. It's heavy as hell, most guys hate it for that fact but it's my around the place sniper rifle. I've had it for around 12 years and it's one gun I'll never ever sell.

Mine will cycle with a supressor on subsonic if you keep it clean. I get a lot more blowback in the action with the supressor on and it doesn't take long with subsonic for it to get dirty and start short cycling.

A Sleeper of Sorts, 10/22 deluxe, factory barrel rechambered, threaded, and target crowned. Bolt face trued, and headspace tightened up for Eley ammo. Bolt buffer, trigger group machined for bushings and pins, trigger worked to a crisp break around 16oz. Tac65 suppressor and a nice old Japan Tasco World class 3-10 x 50mm. Fun little rifle that shoots better than most know how.

Love this series. Dad had bought one with walnut stock and want to say back in 60's. Guessing 64-69 and still has it.

Wish he would have bought the 44 one too. But he didnt.

I got one I use and abuse for fun plinking.

I gotta dig into mine at some point.....

I took my son out squirrel hunting on saturday. He pulled the trigger and there was nothing. I cycled the gun for him and nothing again. I took the gun from him and cycled a few more rounds through with no bang.

The cases had strikes on them. I am curious if its the ammo. It was Thunderbolt, but its been in my safe and the last time we shot was a few months back and everything worked fine.

Funny timing for this thread. I am wanting to build one in the worst way, but will probably part with my CMMG .22 upper before I do. Can't decide!

If I get it sold, I'm going to buy a standard, rebarrel it, and pillar bed it on a hogue stock. I already have the scope.
I still have my dad's practice gun (he used to shoot small bore nationals), just kind of wanted to build one to piss around with.

Some nice guns in this thread guys.
I bought my first 10/22 for $39, on sale at Woolworths, in 1974. It's long gone, as are several others. I've got a couple at the moment, but nothing special. Every time I put a nice one together, one of my kids ends up with it.

How do you like the Burris fullfield? I'm a big Burris fan. I don't think there is a better bang for the buck out there.

I'm a weirdo when it comes to talking guns on the webs lol.. but I have a Leupold in a Burris PEPR mount on this .22, a fullfield, a fixed 4 on something else, a MTAC, and a Burris veracity on the other.

We'll have to see. I haven't owned a Burris in quite a few years. I needed a cost alternative to the Leupold. I couldn't afford another one for this build. The Burris has good reviews and the standard lifetime warranty to boot. The E1 etched reticle will be new for me.

As much as I like the Ruger action (being an owner of a mini-14) I'm a fan of under the barrel loading 22's. I have a Winchester and a Marlin that have never jammed, not even once during break in.
