1. Prefer a roller.
Looking to custom fit one to a large bar for milling. My bars cross sections are 2.5" tall.

2. Also need wide nose 0.050 3/8 stihl. Yes, they made them.
0.058 or 0.063 also in 3/8 fattys.

3. 404 wide nose stihl in 50 58 63

4. Sprocket nose parts or replacement parts for E and ES Stihl bars any gauge.

5. See number one roller tip off anything

Pics & prices in a PM please. Whole bars and bent bars considered.
Want to get milling. Holding up guys with chain to sell. Missed many quality chain deals already waiting for responses on parts to fix my junk. Have more chain waiting in the wings. "It's just the tip  "

I found a tip called a roller. No specs. GB 355-63

Is it a sprocket inside? No measurements I can find, yet.

You watch. I'll get pissed and tired of waiting. I make one with an off the shelf or out of saw bearing. *s-word be replaceable in five minutes. No more worries.

I think scarr is right, I know Sugi/Tsumura make an 050 nose or a 058/063 universal. But with Stihl I 'think' the tips were all 063 whether you ran 050-063.

Here is a snapshot of a PDF I had I snatched when I found out they were not going to make the wide tips any more. It say the same wide tip for all 3 gauges, the narrow tip has different gauges though.

Over the counter sales, yes. From the factory, no. The tips matched the gauge.

Shawn has enlightened me about what look for.

Found a regular es in 0.058 but it might be a take off from a swap out.

I think you've basically said it yourself......unless you were to find a new take off from a bar, there are only two options in replacement wide nose tips...3/8 & .404 in the universal .063 width.

I have NOS in both part #'s 3003 650 2539 for 3/8 and 3003 650 2538 for .404

Is your 2538 black or white?

The 3/8 063 is out there in grey, some china knock off. No manufactures markings. Very suspect of the steel and general quality. Not for me

Used is fine.

The nightmare starts when you look for parts. Some are listed wrong. Some lack information. Some are listed by the factory original numbers and, they are different for every gauge, tooth count for pitch and wide nose is the same thing all over again. For the most part there are smaller "families" of parts. The families do not coincide with one another, you dig?

Well the early West Germany ones are white...I'm not saying there's no aftermarket, but the early ones are unmarked.

I have 4 white and 1 black in .404...They don't get any more legit than these.

I scored an NOS 325 regular from RB in a white envelope last year.

Are the black ones from the norf or VA?

Sorry not following all the abbreviations...lol

I've bought out numerous old dealers. I have a lot more of the 2539's. ...if you're interested I'll sell some, but don't want to run myself dry. :)

Shipping and tax would kill the deal I think. Shot me a PM
Thank You very much

Others I waited on for nine months. Had to try again. I want to mill before spring thaw.

Wonder where the black ones are made, usa, germany, guam, who knows...If you find who makes it, actually assembles them, you can find out the suppliers stream sometimes and get assorted parts. Doing that now.

The parts from NOS Stihl looks daunting to sort out. I'll try the dealer on nose parts available and pricing. Chasing tips and sprockets on Ebay sucks.
The AM stuff looks like junk.

edit:
Saw one on Ebay looks to be grey and selling with a Stihl paper sleeve. What a deal.
I'll stick to PM's here, Thank You.
Ebay "schkairs meh"
pie...
