I have a Rem Bantam that runs very good after i gave it the once over. Im looking to swap out the clutch and chain from the 1/4" to a more easily gotten 3/8" I have a few 3/8 chains from a Mac 3216 along with its bar, but the clutch is not going to work. So Im looking for a 3/8 clutch that will fit the bantam....?

will this clutch fit and work with my Mac 3216 chains?

I tried to reference this model but my one and only source is a very old dealers book .It listed under Bantam a saw of 5 cubic inches at that time .Obviously not the correct one .At that time it listed the smallest chain to be .404.Things certainly have changed over the years .

Changed indeed
.404 mmm that’s big boy chain, I guess due to the lower comp n higher torque on the older big saws, big chain was not an issue. This little Rem’s chain looks like jewelry compared to normal 3/8 :nut:

You can find 1/4" on flea bay .Good old Bryce in Washington state had a bunch of loops for Stihl 015's fairly inexpensive .You might need to add or remove a few links .
