Im sure it can be done with jb weld etc.
But is anybody doing this and if so what are you using and your method?
I have several hard to get nla clutches that could use a relining and make them like new again...

Are they husky and jonsered clutches? Those are usually just solid metal (no separate “shoe” material). Once they wear out the shoes you have to get whole new shoes or a entirely new clutch assembly (cause usually the spider and springs are shot at that point anyway).

I wonder if new “shoe” material could be welded onto the clutch shoe surface by building up weld material… and then milled off on a lathe to the correct diameter somehow? Just a thought. That would be a lot of effort though.

The 090 had a lining on the shoes. I wonder what it was and how it was attached. I used to wonder about metal on metal clutches since the 090 had a liner, and I have seen liners in the bell of RC car and helicopter clutches. Anyway, I also think that welding idea could work, but I bet some expert welder would have something to say about welding clutch material.

Short answer, no. Cast steel part.

The lining is just like bonded brake shoes of old non metalic.

If the drum got that thin better to toss it.
