Question on modified Husqvarna 61 intake elbow

I played around with couple of these elbows. I didn’t increase the outlet, elbow outlet still matches the carb bore. I just removed that sharp ledge and put a nice radius on it.

Is there a performance reason the factory has that sharp ledge or maybe it’s just a manufacturing thing? It’s not going to hurt my feelings if I shouldn’t have messed with it, I have spares.

Looks good, no reason to restrict the flow!

Madsens used to grind off the casting flash in the 2100 intake elbows, if it worked for them it’ll probably work for you.
