My 4000 operates flawlessly. I only wish that Poulan would have never stopped making them. I installed a 25" bar on mine just to see what it would do with that extra load. The saw then said to me, "Edwin, have you got a 28" bar and chain around? Just curious. This is fun."

I regret selling mine...IMO, the 4000 cuts about 10cc's above its displacement.
