What tool do you use to remove stuck wrist pins?

I use a brass punch that closely fits inside of the pin and its handle portion is smaller than the pin diameter. Put some WD40 on the pin and drive it through. Support the piston to make sure hammer impacts are absorbed by the piston and not by the connecting rod.

Too likely that I would damage the connecting rod. I only have really big hammers

I’ve heated the piston lightly with a propane torch or heat gun, if you don’t want to use flame, along with a good fitting
punch.

I’ve all kinds of home made methods over the years and wanted something cleaner, more simple. Though heat is something we never tried. The puller GBertolet recommended showed up today.
