Looks like a steel washer stuck on the PTO end of the crank.

Won’t budge.

Pressed on? Threaded on?

It do provide end stop to the clutch drum & bearing.

I don’t want to bugger it up.[emoji57]

from what i was able to find online, its a cover for the bearing or somrthin. lookin at it there i dunno how the heck u get it off. good luck carl!

I see a bearing with what looks like a steel dust cover instead of plastic. How exactly did the oil seal fit?
it almost looks like the metal washer is a seal of some sort ?

Looked in my Clymer book and the Pioneer/Partner 7000 has a short sleeve as part of the washer.

I’ll have to devise a puller to get it off. [emoji90]

First I turned it clockwise to make sure it wasn’t threaded on and then pried it off using a pair of rocker foot bars. Press fit it was.

It’s still entirely serviceable. [emoji56]

Seals ballpark out to 15mm x 26mm x 5-7mm wide. Double lip w/garter spring.

Dirt did in the flywheel side crank seal. Why one should always load the space between lips with grease. Rubber needs the lube.

Wheel bearing grease is rated for high temps.

it is good to warm this pad a little because it sits tightly on the shaft
