is there anything safe to use to get paint off a plastic Stihl air cleaner cover? I got this oldddd 066 with a good air cleaner cover but its got blue paint on it. Not the whole thing, but sporadically painted on it. Anything that will take the paint off but leave the plastic the way it was? I don't want the paint bleeding into the plastic either. Thanks.

I've read on mx bike forums they have had good results getting paint off plastics using graffiti remover with no damage to the plastics, if you look around can be had for cheap.Id still test it on a small area see how it goes..

They also have graffiti wipes. That'll do the trick I'm sure. Used them on cars several times google it. Come in a tube like Lysol wipes

I keep that stuff around to get stickers off of equipment... works good!
I need it, because I really don't need a sticker on a chainsaw telling me not to hold it by the pointy end.
