It's his second deer. Shot a doe a year or so ago.

Awesome! I think they have already gone nocturnal down here. My friends have taken some but the only opportunity I have had was a little 4 pointer that I let walk.

About five seconds after he shot the doe, a buck crossed the trail. I told him he should've shot him too. He had a buck tag and two doe tags. Our freezer is full from the doe. We would've had to take some to my parents house, lol.

That's why I've started canning meat. I was always nervous about doing it, but honestly it's so easy and it'll last years on the shelf.

I can both burger and cubed meat. The burger is made in 20lb batches, 17lbs of venison/2lbs pork butt/1lb bacon. I mix the burger good, add in 2 packs of hidden valley ranch powder, brown it all, pack 2lbs in a qt mason jar, add a tsp of salt, tsp of pepper and one crushed garlic clove each jar, and add water up to the 3/4 level of the jar.. Pressure cook at 12-15lbs for 90 mins. The longer it sits on the shelf. The better it tastes IMO.

Got these two jokers on his trail cam out behind the house. He let three doe walk yesterday to see if the buck's would come out, no luck yet.

I like this mount of his the best. He made back pack and that coat he wore through high school and beyond. He put his girlfriend on this deer, told her not to shoot and wait. She did not wait, Craig said let it lay and watched a big 10 point walk out behind it 15 minutes later.
