Now available in 3/8, .404 and 3/4!

Wallingford’s Inc. is pleased to announce that it has expanded its Orbit saw chain offerings to include both 3/4” and 3/8” pitch chain. Wallingford’s Inc. launched Orbit saw chain back in March with .404 pitch harvester chain, and the addition of ¾” pitch is a much-anticipated introduction.

Orbit saw chain is manufactured with high quality alloy steel and offers professionals the best balance of quality and value in the industry. The Orbit ¾” pitch saw chain has micro radius semi-chisel cutters and increase kerf width similar to Orbit .404 pitch chain. Both Orbit lines of harvester chain are engineered for maximum performance and fast cutting speed.

Our Orbit 3/8” pitch saw chain will be full chisel; non-safety chainsaw chain expanding are offerings to the professional loggers using handheld saws. All Orbit saw chain is manufactured with enhanced multi-layered chrome plating providing excellent durability and wear resistance. It is notable that this will complement our line-up of GB harvester bars and ProTOP chainsaw bars with a complete line up of Orbit harvester and professional chainsaw chain.

I believe its just a rebadged tri link chain. Chinese chain. Here is a loop of stens branded my dealer gave me to try. The grind is inconsistent and sloppy. Havent tried it as i dont have a bar for this loop.

All the Chinese chain I have seen in person or pictures of has inconsistency issues with grinds

Round to oval to some other weird ass geometric shape and back again

You (I) lose 1/4 of the cutter length just trying to get them all to a consistent round profile

That's a big hit on the VALUE

I will wear out what I have then I am done with chinesium...

YMMV

Edited to add: but I am just a "forum guy" so what the phuk do I know

I appreciate the offer but I don’t really need any more chain at the moment, I just bought 8 loops that size of Carlton. I just saw it advertised along with the Carlton chain & was curious if anyone had tried it. An 84dl x .050” loop of Orbit is $.17 higher than Carlton/Oregon/Blount. A loop of 68dl x .050” Orbit is $.23 less than C/O/B. The Orbit & Stens do look similar.

I don’t need any help shortening my cutters, barbed wire, woven wire, fence staples & hidden steel posts take care of that.

Ain't that the truth...

TriLink logo/brand on the cutters sides.

If they are dirt cheap then OK, though I wouldn't expect much from those.
TriLink is the worst chain I ever used.

Is everyone commenting on the Chainsaw 3/8 chain? We have had great luck with the Orbit Harvester chain in both .404 and 3/4.. It is a value chain but the quality is getting better. In my opinion as far as harvester chain for the money it is not bad and sharpens up nice.

So when I throw it limping it will go into Orbit?

In all seriousness though, I can’t imagine it’s softer than Oregon cutters.
