Old Open Port Transfers

I'm trying to find info on porting these and can't seem to find much. Homelite and Poulan seem to be almost identical. Poorly shaped both tunnels, tops(exits)and size? They seem to be big enough compared to intake and exhaust size. Any info would help. Mine is 84 Poulan 4000. It starts out as a dual port but a divider starts at about 3/8" of entry and goes to top making it a quad port exit. Need some old time help. PLEASE. Thanks

What is the bore size on these things? Also, any idea how much the jug could be lowered before free-porting the exhaust?

I'm hoping to cut .030 off base, maybe more as there is a squish band in cylinder head maybe .020 high by .100 wide. I don't want over 175psi secondary compression since there isn't a decomp valve. Would like to get ex over 100*, opens@98.5* now. 26* blow down. Not sure what free port is. 49.125mm bore

Where are ring pins?

OK I looked up free port. Looks like .310" to fp without base gkt. So to be safe say .280". Pins are on both sides of intake.
