You don’t need a diesel or the maintenance, ford 6.2 f-250 will pull anything you need to and get not far off to the 7.3 milage wise. 6.2’s go 300,000 pretty easily with not much maintenance. Oil change will be 60$ vs 200$ with. 2 1/2 gallons of oil and filters ect. Unless pulling heavy all the time like every day diesel isn’t necessary. In fact lots of hot shotters up here have gone to 250/350 7.3 gas wirh 4:30’s and 10 speeds. All the new buses at school up here are bluebird propane/gas powered wirh 7.3 fords and they drag 70 kids around on a heavy bus every day.
But diesel is the cool factor.

Your price for oil change is a little off. You can get Rotella by the gallon for under 20 dollars. Filters are not terribly priced either. I do mine for less than 100 each time.

Well I changed the fuel filter every 2 oil and the air every 3 but but at any rate diesel is more money and maintenance I’ve had one too. Buddy with tree service needed the whole injection system replaced on two of his dirtymax and one he did the other he didn’t because it cost more than truck was worth. Was an 05 and 07 i believe for the years and I realize everyone thinks diesel is awesome and for its purpose they are but lots don’t use to potential. I think 7.3 gas with supercharger at 650-700 hp and more torque than the 7.3 diesel has would be great. And start -20 not plugged in

Evening fellers. Got a few trees tapped this afternoon. Woulda been close to finishing but had to haul hay this morning. Heading to the watering hole in a bit so if ya see any off color posts later you’ll know why….
Any splinters?
