I own some semi-automatic shotguns.
That's how I would herd them.
I feel your pain. Some days I fücking hate trees. My dad went to Ferris State in the late 60s to become a journeyman auto mechanic. He lasted 2 years at the ford dealer in Lowel, MI before he told a dumbâss customer to fück off after the dumb áss wandered back into the shop and proceeded to tell him how to work on his car. Not long after that he started working at a tool and die shop and attended journeyman Tool and Die school in the evenings. He did that for 45 years. Sometimes change is good.

I started here in 1997. I worked at an independent shop for almost 4 years before that while in high school/ tech school.
Maybe I should try Wendy's.

I could probably pull that outfit off...

I lasted less than a year working flat rate.

I'm a bit over 25 years on flat rate.
It's not even that. It's the amount of absolutely ridiculous things people whine about and super hero service writers who know way more about how this stuff works than me push the issue.
I mean some of them have been writing repair orders for 3 or 4 years....
Plus I'm over this "entitled attitude" that the majority seem to possess these days.
Sorry, the world and everyone in it doesn't owe you a mother fųcking thing.

There’s so much of that going on I’ve about lost all hope for humanity in general. In fact, I just got done dealing with that from a well known member here.

What happened to common courtesy, integrity, honesty, and personal accountability? Do people really not realize that you reap what you sow?

Might be time for Ed’s Shade Tree Auto Repair. At least then you can fire customers at will. I fire clients on occasion, but it’s rare that I don’t weed the wrong sort out before I even work for them.

Sure. I'd much rather you come work here.
Today Boots was doing another alignment.
He walks over and said "So this screen popped up I've never seen before, what do I do?"

I walk over to the alignment computer. I replied to him "You steer the wheels straight fųcking ahead just like the fųcking thing is telling you in plain damn English."
It was a bar graph that in bold letters under it said "steer the wheels straight ahead".

I'm very much questioning my career path lately.
I really don't know if I can do this car thing much longer...

I lasted less than a year working flat rate.

After my first three days at the power equipment shop I’ve found out that the shop is separate from the dealership even though they are in the same building, so flipping stuff is out of the question. I’m just a mower wrench and I’m sure I’ve barely made any money. Very poorly ran. The good part of it is I know what to ask at the next place. If there is a next place. Service writers are exactly like @redline4 says. They know better, but don’t care.

Ok dudes, I'm going to be that guy with the stupid question.
My Dad told me tonight he wants a new saw. His old 029 super was never the easiest starting.
Keep in mind, severe arthritis in his shoulders. Bad back. Just got cortisone in his back last week and his knees today..

16" bar is what it will run. I figure a decomp would be a plus, if said model has one. I think electronic carb for no tuning is also the way to go. Stihl or Husqvarna.
So...ms261? 550mk2? Something else?
What would you guys recommend in this case?
I'm going to have him try my ms180 this weekend but I know that will be smaller than he wants.
I have a 346xp ill have him try too but there isn't a new direct replacement to that model.
