Noodle use.

I know people used saved noodles for chicken bedding and fire starter but I got a new one this morning. We’re getting lots of freezing rain today plus all the packed snow turned to solid ice. Off the back porch it was nasty, even for the dogs and I certainly don’t want a Veterinarian bill, even if I could get there. Wife had a couple bags of noodles stashed so I broke a bag out and spread it for traction. Works great. Even as the freezing rain continues you step on the noodles and the ice breaks off and you still have traction. They’re calling for 1/4” of ice then 5”-8” of snow, AHHHH!

Yep I use them for the wood stove, Never though about a traction aid.

The new expensive fire starters are noodles with added paraffin wax .. me,,, I just pour a bit of some old used engine oil over

works very good and uses up that old oil..

Nice! We use them for “saw bedding” in the underbelly boxes. Soaks up bar oil (mostly canola) and grease gun globs.

Yes, plus, it is much better on the rugs and floor if you track it in vs. kitty litter or clay based oil absorber.

I like to use the noodles for makin soup, you can use chicken or beef stock. You’ll get all the fiber you need not to mention the different kinds of soup, oak , hickory, cherry, walnut, one thing to note though, is you’ll be *s-wordin LOGS!!

Mix some with sawdust into our compost piles.
