I'll be honest, I am of the opinion that they have probably been testing and developing this saw for some time. Look at how long the 572 took to debut. I haven't really heard of any problems with the 572 at all, I think the troubles they had with the 550/562 have scared them into concentrating harder on development and longevity.

I'm looking forward to all the new saws coming out. The 881 looks interesting.

I would like to see a 599, too me that would be a game changer! My guess it’s a 90 or more likely a 92cc 592. It’s going to be interesting to see what they do. I am starting to wonder if the it the emission standards are based on cc class, 70-79cc 80-89cc 90-99cc and the new trend will be to build saws at the lower end of each cc class to make it easier to pass emissions, idk just seems to be what is happening in each new saw

I think they’ve had plans for them oversized 6203 bearings from the start. Modular chassis like Dolmar. My hope is it will be a 588:D
Brooooo....id take a 581 any day on that chassis. A 10cc jump on that machine would make it ridiculous for its weight.

Well, Joe had the 572 make like...7.1 hp out the gate, so I'm guessing it will be a 9 horse saw given the 20cc displacement difference.

I'd like to see another stock 572 on the dyno to have that number confirmed. The 572 I ran sure didnt feel like a 7hp saw.

Two actually. :)

Well, I called Sweden and for now I'm not going to go beyond what was in the press release, which I know isn't much. It's an honor, not to mention a lot of fun, to be in the test program, so I won't break the trust they've placed in me. Even acknowledging they exist wasn't cool until that press release came out.

That is VERY cool that you’re in the testing program Bob. Beat the hell out of them!

With the stroke and bearing size of the 572 a larger bore is a no brainer. If it is in fact a larger bore on the same chassis they could probably get away with a 50mm(76cc) and a 52mm(82cc). Since the 576 already exists my vote is for the 582.
