I've seen them used for log cabin beams on tv
Never saw one in person.

As others said timber framers. Other stick framers will use them to gang cut everything from rafters to floor joists to speed up production.

Those are big with the amish builders.

Google “Prazi Beam Cutter”, I have one here that I bought at auction for $5 because I was the only one who knew what it was. If you do not want a chain, you can move up to a beam saw. Just be sure to use both hands! Battery powered Makita for size comparison.

How do you order one? I am very interested. Right now I’m bringing a genny with my electric and extension cord

The conversions were for adding chainsaw bar to a electric circular saw.
Although a person might do it on a rechargeable circular to get away from a generator...........

I’d be out of battery quickly, and to be honest the cordless ones are not as robust as the electric ones
