A friend dropped off a BR400 and said it needed a tune up. I tried to start it and it was not having any part of it. Flooded like hell, so I pulled the plug and spun it over a bunch and left it upside down for 18 hours. Put it back upright and same thing. Pulled the carb and rebuilt it - metering diaphragm was a bit stiff, but not too bad. Replaced diaphragms and needle. Reinstall, same thing. New plug. I jave actually rotated between two new plugs during the testing. Checked spark and it was intermittent at best. Replaced the coil with one from a parts blower I have and now have good spark. Still will not hit. No screen in the muffler and muffler is clear. Passed vac and pressure tests. 135 on compression. Dumped gas that was in it and put in my fresh premium fuel mix. Still will not hit. Plug does not appear wet, maybe a spot on it of fuel, but nothing like when I flood a saw... What am I missing?

That is my next thing to check, just wanted to see if there was anything else to check before ripping the whole machine apart to check the key.

Thanks. This is one of the things I like about working on these machines. There is always something new to learn.
