I know it’s not a chain saw but it’s dam close, my boss asked me to look at k760 body saw. The saw runs fine throttled up but dies like the off switch is hit when idling down. When the saw is together enough to run the carb can’t be adjusted, except for one adjustment that looks like the idle screw but it’s different then I’m use to (circled in pic) Anyone have any knowledge on these?

What you have circled there is the idle speed adjustment screw. If backed off too much could cause the problem as you describe.

Thanks, that’s what I thought. The high and low still cannot be adjusted correct? There are no holes I see, just one for that idle screw

Not really familiar with the saw in question, but in your picture of a carburetor, the hi and lo are just below the idle speed screw.

No I know the adjustments are there but there’s no way adjust while running, no holes through the body.
