So I’m trying to find something pretty specific and we have a huge resource base here. I’m trying to find a 7/8” diameter, steel wire core Manila flipline in 15-20’ length with a clip on one end. Madsens out of Washington carries them but they are out of stock and don’t know when they might get more in. If anyone knows a source or can make one I’d be eternally grateful. I don't have a source for that particular flip line but am curious as to why you need that one specifically?
I used to use one for nasty old trees. They are, believe it or not, easier to flip fat line. I use 1/2" most times but do still own a 5/8"

Only thing I could help with is fall arrest rope grabs in 5/8" or 3/4". My other flip line is a 5/8" pistol grip grab.

I got to use one on a tree as described by LP below the other day and it was the best feeling flip line I’ve ran on a removal. I normally run a 5/8ths steel core with a rope grab and that 7/8 worked way better on a big rough barked white pine.

thanks man. Baileys carries a 3 strand 3/4” synthetic non-wire. I may end up trying that as the price isn’t horrible if it doesn’t work out the way I want it too

You know who you might try is Don Blair. At Don Blair Arborist supplies. I looked at his website and didn’t see any manilla but if anyone would know where to get it, he would.

Got it in. Cut a 10 footer off to try. Made a trip up to my dads and he helped me splice in an eye, cable is intact all the way through the eye as well, we we backspliced the off side. Added a prusik and away we go11A63BCE-F21D-4C7D-AF16-9542DA53199F.jpeg
