I’m in dire need of a new big trimmer, as I’ve got some crazy heavy stuff that not even my modded Stihl 91 can take down. I’m looking at a 2 stroke 30cc+, but still relatively lightweight trimmer. A 4mix would also work just fine. My dealer stocks Echo, Stihl, Redmax, Husqvarna, and Shindaiwa. A poll has been created.

Cheers, Brett

I'm confused-are you trying to cut heavy, high grass with a line?

I've got an ancient Shindaiwa c20,21 cc,1.1 horsepower that will pretty much take down any grass-with a grass blade. With line,it's no power house.

I can't imagine your FS91 not being up to the task-with a blade.

OR,are you brushcutting? But even brushcutting, with an EIA blade(good and sharp),the little Shindaiwa will take down a 4-5 inch tree.

I just got the 535LK ...... it’s got gobs of power, and has absolutely no problem getting rid of briars & thorns overgrown areas with a grass blade. I did pull the catalytic out and modified the carb adjusters. 2 ring piston and it’s very very smoothe running. Has over a dozen attachments and optional extensions. I wish I’d have gotten this sooner, without a doubt, best combi available anywhere

Stihl fs-560!!!! For the win
This all day long. If not you can find an FS250. I would get that if the FS560 is too much$. They've been out of production for many years but they're still a few left in dealers. A FS240 is a good trimmer too but it's heavier than the 250. And you never did say whether it would be a bike handle or a loop handle trimmer you would need.
