What's the going rate for a clean MS441C?
I found a really good deal on a nice one, might buy it to flip?

Desireable saw?

Any interest in it?

Desirable saw? Not really, because of the complexity of its construction. Some guys like them though. I think you’d be better off buying and flipping something like a 1128 series saw if your looking at 70cc stihls .... 044/046/440/460/461. They are much more popular.

I wouldn’t buy a 441 personally. If I did, I wouldn’t pay more than $650ish for it. One has been for sale used here for a while and he’s asking $985 which is insane. They’re a little over 1k new and my dealer has been sitting on 1 for over 3 years.

Whats so bad about the 441? I have never used one and always hear people complain about the complexity of them / not making a ton of power

I like the 441c. I had one and regret sending it down the road. Smooth running and plenty of power.

She was heavy and round and less nimble than other saws but a pleasure to run when bucking.

I'd like to have another one but have done quite a bit of selling, buying, and trading saws over the last month so I better stand fast for the time being. But I will keep my out for a mint one at a good buy.

I have one and got it for a song, at least I thought it was a song. All I had to do was rebuild the engine that was straight gassed. It took me about 15 hours and a ton of patience. Worst Service Manual I have ever read and no comparison to an 044 of MS440 when it comes to repairs. The dealer waved me off and said, "Buy a new saw. At $80 an hour, it's just not worth our fooling with it."

Well, it runs strong today. I pull a 25" bar, and I think it will handle a 28" as well. Yes, it is stronger than my MS361 that I bought 11 years ago for $680.

I got my very abused ms441 non C for 23.00 out of a scrap pile . I have never run one unmodified, I needed a p/c while I cleaned up the original set , so I bought a cheap big bore kit and feed it lots of compression (19.5) squish .
I put a 34" Oregon reduced weight bar on it with full skip and it man handles that set up well.
Yeah it was terrible to disassemble and rebuild but the power out put is pretty impressive.
The shop I go to was just selling a 1 tank ms441C for 800.00 it was like new.

I bought the saw today. When I saw it I just couldn't pass it up. It is extremely clean.
If I can turn a quick couple bucks I will flip it.
Hopefully you got it for a decent price, I found the replacement parts cheaper at my dealer than online.
Word to the wise,ABSOLUTELY change the impulse and fuel lines if you are gonna run it, they are kind of crazy to get to but thats why they fail and you can sneek the impulse line in with long forceps and minimal disassembly.

The 441 seems like a bad copy of the 576 husky the one I ran . Tryed to get the good bits of a 576 and way over complicated it.
