I have a 290 with a smoked p&c, looking to get it going again. I'd like to have a oem p&c but may end up going aftermarket.

Thanks

I'll probably get criticized but I used a complete NWP short block for ms 390 from Baileys. Just drop in. Was $130 IIRC. I picked up a new looking 390 that looked straight gassed. I didn't know what else or history so this insured now other issues. There was a thread about same issue. May have been on other site. There were a couple others that did same but others slammed us saying they put in p&c for $5.00. Exaggeration but not by much. Anyway just. 02.20160615_223217.jpg20160615_223303.jpg

That looks like my only option, thanks.

I don't know about you, but to buy a descent quality aftermarket p&c, bearing, oil Seals and then the labor to put it all together, you'd probably be right up there with that price. If it were me and I wasn't real cheap, I'd buy the whole unit and just drop it in. My 2 cents.

Yeah, I agree. Ebay has long blocks ready to drop in for $95.
