MS241 Inner Side Plate

Looking to get part number 1143 664 1030 for my 241. According to my dealer he thinks the part has been discontinued? I wonder why it did not originally come on the saw? Its part #14 in the pic.

Maybe it is discontinued but your dealer should really know this, because he can look it up. You should read and understand correctly what is written in your screenshot. It`s only for version 5 of this saw, that means only for the MS 241 C-BEM. So if you don`t have this exact version of the saw, it`s normal that you don`t have it.

Any other thoughts? I will post a picture why I think they all should have this plate.

If your 241 does NOT have the Quick Chain Adjuster there will be no inner side plate.

I also tried to get that part when I originally got my 241 put together. Turns out I don't even need it, it's for a different version of the saw.
