Not into swaps or splicing.

I had an 088 coil in the past , that made that 880
unlimited, mainly looking for that part number. Thanks.

Which style of case do you have J? There were two different styles for the 880 and the older ones could use an unlimited coil like the 1308 from an 084.

The newer style needs the 361 coil like Mike mentioned.

Oh, okay. It’s the newer case I assume - stainless steel muffler.

I assume that its only the carb ( non-C) ignition .

Yes it’s been done many times over the years. I don’t even think the saw would start with the mtronic version
