The equivalent to the 044/440 and the ms 361 are also now in the produced line as a full made up saw in the "blue thunder" range . Looks like Huztl-Farmertec have decided that these older model saws have been and remain so popular its worth running with as a wide cc range. Stihl no longer make them so I wonder if that is how this can happen from some international legal standpoint.
At least these saws are not trying to be a direct marked up as Stihl colour copy .

Any pricing on the 72cc unit?

I can get new 52cc China clones for 60-70$, but I know they are gutless and as such I am not interested.

Only saw I have found that is to be bought from within the EU so far Wilhelm is the G255.....a version of the Stihl 025/ ms 250, as per picture. The US market is better served with prices and information so far .

I recall a time not too distant that everyone seemed to condemn the AM saws. Now there seems to be a lot of interest in them despite their lack of quality control.
Personally , Im looking at this group of saws in a different way to the very poor , cheep, AM saws that have gone before. These seem to be more of a "re manufacture " of proven and decent designs that have just been discontinued. They still have to pan out as a properly made, approved and functioning product yet , but I am interested in understanding what is going on with Holzfforma /Huztl-Farmatech in general.

I am being bombarded with for sale ads of this saw and identical units called Steel MS440 in a Stihl color scheme.

As said, the ad states some 65$.

I know who has one, I might be able to borrow it to make a video.
I have used it and it feels underwhelming, but it works surprisingly well and reliable.

My mistake, sorry.
I don't really follow the cheap saw market.

So, the Holzfforma units are better quality than the generic Chinese clones?

This is not something Iv followed for long ether Wilhelm. It "looks " that they are far better and made by the same company that produce Hutzl -Farmertech parts . Holtfforma Blue Thunder is the ready assembled saw division and the saws seem to be a "Re Make " of the saw there based on rather than what we are used to seeing before. There is some good vid of the G660 (Based on the Stihl Ms 660 ).

Fit and finish is poor, handle not made with proper angle. Oiler cover has gap both sides. Had to order 2nd clutch cover, was to weak plastic, wasn’t fitting well at all. Had to bend throttle and choke leavers. Saw is hard to start first thing in the morning
