Neat relic. A 96 year old neighbor of mine bought one of those brand new in the early ‘50’s. He said it weighed 37 lbs. The gear drive would rip the rivets out of the chain if it hung up on anything. It gave him Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome that caused him to give up full time logging by the late 1950’s. GLWS!

Reminds me of my first worm-drive SKIL-SAW early 80's with a wedge holding the guard open cutting Hip Roof rafters 10 hours a day for $13.00 an hour. No brake on that saw. It wanted to come out of your hand when you pressed the trigger. Years later a Green Hitachi 7 1/4 with a brake. Same wedge though for starting in the angle.
