FOUND IT Makita 4300

Ready to purchase new Makita 4300. Its for my daughter and she is set on the smurf color. Not sure if the easy start is standard on all of them but this one must have the easy start option. Let me know what you got

I don’t think the Smurf came in an easy start. I think that showed up when the Makita went to red.

I didn't know that. Is the easy start all in the recoil starter cover? Will the red cover fit on a smurf saw? If so my idea would be to have the cover powder coated to smurf. Yes I know alot of extra work and expense.

How about getting a red 4300 with easy start and sunglasses with a tint that will make the saw look smurf colored?

Used good condition smurf Makita 4300's go for 250-300€ in Germany.
Red similar condition Dolmar 420/421's go for 200-250€.

Since there's not a easy start 4300 in smurf. What is the difference in makita to dolmar same size? And 420 to 421?

Makita to Dolmar same cross referencing models - are identical except stickers and color

PS-420 compared to PS-421 - I believe the 421 features a CAT muffler.
