I just put a 362 c-m together. Complete new oem bottom end. Used the carb and coil off the crushed 362. Did the default and run in wood for 10 minutes. It comes out of the cut and idles beautifully. When I kill it and then repull to crank it takes 2 to 4 pulls to crank. Then idles good and will scream in the wood. Kill it and 2 to 4 pulls later starts back up ? Troubleshoot! Please! Has new 1140-440-3010 harness.

Have you rebuilt the carb or replaced the solenoid to the white one?

Long shot but maybe a weak impulse? Did you happen to check the opening on the new crankcase?

try the "mechanical" stuff first.... maybe tank pressure valve? Try opening the tank before re-starting next time just for chits and giggles. Then watch the carby linkage smoothness in operation. Seen a few get "bound up" or slightly off kilter and "hang" up.

follow through all the "mechanical" linkages for the carby...Choke/ accelerator "block" throttle rods ect. they are funny and sometimes get placed "off" a hair when rebuilding the entire system. ask me how I know...

2-4 pulls. What's the gripe? Some 362 saws take a dozen or more!

Update!!!!! Installed white solenoid in Thursday and problem solved !

Only the orange one is availible since the change in 2018, except you get old stock white ones from your dealer.
