Soooo, all owners manuals and really good idea to be safe right? Wear PPE etc. So Blowing snow off car with leaf blower. Works great. Been doing for years.. Thiis time wearing sweatpants (my favorite) until the string got sucked into the the flywheel and cut it off.
I tried to finish but my drawers kept dropping down. Not a good look. At least nothing hurt but my pride.

In 8th grade, shop teacher was giving safety instructions when using equipment and got his tie caught in table saw. Started sucking his head down, Jim Nato grabbed tin snips and cut it off (short). Never will forget that.

Mine was teaching us how to run a torch. He caught the torch hoses on fire with the hot slag lol. He panicked a little. Pretty funny stuff Didn’t burn through the hoses but had them on actual fire

I always cut hoodie strings off or remove them. I haven’t needed them since I was a child & mother would cinch them up until I couldn’t see. Untucked shirts/baggy shirts, unbuttoned/unsnapped shirt sleeves & neck ties are all accidents waiting to happen.

Some of the rigs I was on in the oil patch wouldn’t even let you on them with a hoodie, a few would let you tuck the hood in others made you take it off or not be on the premises.

That is the only hoodie I have with strings for some reason. They are chopped out of every single other one I own

The funny thing is that Repsol is one of the 'no hoodies on location' companies (even for us dirt moving guys), but a couple of years ago for Christmas, they gave me a nice Carhartt hoodie. LOL

My friend's uncle was a real dick. Liked to find a guy at a bar who was wearing a tie and sit down next to him and start being a prick. After provoking the guy he'd grab him by the tie and slam his face down onto the bar and take a few more cheap shots. I guess he learned his lesson after he picked a guy with a clip-on tie one time and the tables got turned on him.

My neighbor gave me a propane ice auger. He said it stopped working after it sucked his hoodie string into the recoil. Stopped the engine about the time his face was hitting the engine. Knocked the rockers off the push rods with the sudden stop. I had it running in about 10 minutes. He said he spent hours fiddling with it.
