Anyone here build a Husky 272 kit?Are there any suppliers here in the USA?How reliable and well built are the kits?Thanks in advance.

Thought I saw a thread here where Farmertec has merchandise now stocked in USA. I have built a 372 kit that has been very reliable. Just looking for another project, and a saw primarily used for firewood.I will check HL Supply.

I have several of the clone 372s
And have ran them about 4 year's now
No real issues just fuel and pulse line's
Had to be swapped out.
They've paid for themselves many times over
Good runner's
I have a few with family members
To run
I have too many saws it's better to let them use them
No real value in a used china saw anyway
They love them.
I already have many oem 266/268/272s
So I didn't get the 272 kit
But it's mostly a 61 from the pics I've seen.
I don't know anyone that's built one
But the 61 was the first clone saw was being made in china
I saw them Online way before there was farmertec or any kits or whole saws imported.
I tried to order some back then from Craftop and newtop but they didn't ship to the us back then

And what strikes me is farmertec
Advertises real walbro carbs and ignition?
Just like craftop and newtop did many years ago.

The 372s are a bit stronger
But also a bit larger and heavier saw than a 272
The 272 is really on a 60cc size platform.
Ported they get close to each other but the 372s I have are stronger than my 272s.

How bad are the vibes on the 272? Any numbness from extended running? Can't be any worse than my old Suzuki enduro, lol.

I've run the 2 series since the 80s starting with the 266
Which turned into the 268 then 272.
Honestly they don't effect me at all
A few years ago I went back to mainly running the 2 series and run them all day.
I prefer them.
I can't tell you about the clone 272
But the 372 clones definitely have more vibration from unbalanced cranks
than oem 371/372s
It's not uncomfortable to me but it's noticable.
Other's don't like the 2 series because of the antivibe system.

My kit 372 kit is low on vibes. Must have gotten a decent balance crank.Probably will put an OEM cyl on it as I feel its reliablity is proven enough. How much lighter is the 272?I did put a DM11 Dolmar carb on the 372 and feel like part of its smoothness is from the carb.As an aside question whats a favorite cylinder aside from OEM for the 372?

Depending on what bar Of course
feels like about a pound or more lighter no biggie.
I'm liking the hyway BB popup kits
I'm running 2 for about 2 year's now.
