I know nothing about Jonsered saws. Looking at a pile of 490, 535, and 630. Are they any good? Any value in them? Worth tinkering with?

Should probably just send that 630 to me ;). The 630 is the best of that bunch, decent parts availability and one of the strongest 60cc saws a person could buy in the last 35 years.

Maybe. Ended up throwing the whole pile in the truck. Wife was impressed. May be just a parts lot I will have to see. I have never heard of exhaust heated handles before. 3 of the 490's have them.

If your going to be selling them, I might be interested in the 630 as it is.

If you decide to flip some single units to offset some of the cost of the lot, send me a PM. I'm in lower MI too and will be traveling north this week.

I'll get to them when I can. I am on vacation and haven't really looked anything over. My son loaded them in the truck while I was splitting wood for a friend. Now I have to figure out how everything is getting home.

I sold off all my saw collection and just kept a 562XP, two 066 Magnums and a battery 536 Li XPT for my tree service.
But I have a project saw safely put away in storage which I'll get into when I finish my 2 bikesaw projects.
Here it is.... a very low hour late 1970's Jonsereds 70E that was given to me. She runs , just needs a airfilter with cover, brake lever and little TLC.
Last of the true Jonsereds before Electrolux took over
Years ahead of its time, inboard clutch, poly flywheel, modern high performance porting, superior build quality with fit and finish that would be way too expensive to manufacture today.
