I'm new to this so please bear with me. I have a McCulloch 2.0 Eager Beaver 160s chain saw. The coil is bad and I need to know what other models used this same coil. The chainsaw doesn't have points. The coil is a type AM 32 . The parts list give the number 84957 for it . It is a solid state coil 217031, Mc-217031, Mc 217031.
There is a list of chain saws that used this same coil 110, 120,130, 140, 160s . There is also I think a Mac coil but I don't have the number of it. Any help to find a coil would be appreciated. Because of the rarity of finding one or the demand for it , it has a lot of good chainsaws being lost or in non working condition. I have one such as this . It has a really good compression but lacks the coil.
