Buddy got this Ole girl pretty much given to him and handed it off to me to get her running. Someone yanked the rip cord out of her. Got that fixed and put some fresh gas in her. No fire. Gave her a wiff of laughing gas. No fire. Changed the crusty plug wire and checked for continuity through the secondary winding, appeared to be OK. I think it was 17k ohms and the primary was around 6 and makes about 75vac at the end of the plug wire spinning the saw with my drill. No fire. Ordered a module for her. Hopefully that will get her firing.

Well got her cleaned up and together mostly. I used this module that I got on ebay. Hopefully it works. It has spark now at least. I was trying to find a spot to mount the little box. I've seen others mount it on top of the coil and zip tie it. I noticed that there were a few unused holes in the top cover. Was able to fish it in there and get it mounted using one of the screws from the old module I took out.

She is back together and running. Who knows how long she sat but, no carb issues yet. Had to adjust the low a bit to get her to idle. Not a bad little saw except for the factory ignition module is garbage. I doubt she will get used much as the owner has a wide variety of newer saws. Just kind of a neat vintage saw to have on the shelf.
