Finishing up limbing a dead oak to fell it today. Went to level the bucket on the way down and the line blew. Luckily I was able to climb down....but had to find a way to hold pressure to get the support feet up. Was 2 hours from home. Tried clamping stuff in, no joy...but it worked to fold and clamp it. 218D4006-BA91-48F1-9829-AC6283D38E17.jpeg

Why I kind of liked the older Altec design where the boom was a ladder you could climb down if you really had to.

I thought for safety the hydraulic outriggers are supposed to be on a separate locked circuit, so the truck does not tip over if pressure is lost?

Glad to hear you made it home okay, I have had to fold brake lines over like your hose before when hard lines have busted.
