Just was wondering if anyone on here has tried the Tough light bar from husqvarna yet, and how it compares to other lightweight bars. I actually have one of the Tech lite bars that was discontinued.

They are the same as the Oregon LW which I cannot find anywhere.
In fact the Husky version is made by Oregon. You can always tell from the replaceable sprocket nose design.

Yes that is indeed a Sugi, youcan tell by the sprocket. I think I confused the actual lightened section with the Ore LWs
Many of the other Husky bars have the Oregon tip.

Husky standard bars were/are rebranded Oregon bars.

These new light bars are a whole new gig.

I don't believe this is correct anymore. The new ones are made by sugihara. The last couple pages of this thread have some details. https://opeforum.com/threads/592xp-info-and-a-surprise.23171/page-26

And perhaps @DC1072 can shed some light on the subject.
A very new bars that are coming out is a joint venture between Husqvarna and Sugi
Which are the Husqvarna X tough light bar
The very old Husqvarna light bars I believe were discontinued and they were made by OregonBut I believe I’m talking like five years ago I hear that there’s some Stihl around but they are very hard to find an in between almost gone

I ended up buying one of the new Husqvarna lightweight bars. I got a 28" for my 390xp. Very nice bar!
They look so nice on a saw. I have a 24. I want to get more
Husky has taken a good bar and made many improvements to it. The oil holes are larger .
And they engrave the tip to identify it in the bar to identify it which Sugi never had

I hope that the 50 gauge bars come with a 50 gauge tip. 63 gauge tips on 50 and 58 gauge bars always made me pissed.

58 gauge is better than 63 gauge. If I'm running a 50 gauge bar I've always had to hammer the 63 gauge tips tighter. It sure reduces chain throws.

They are really nice bar. Wish they were lighter is all. They are considerably heavier than my Oregon RW bar, which isn’t made anymore and the Tsmura’s bars. I have all 3 in 28” .050. They are a lot more rigid than the floppy Oregon’s for sure

I agree with you on the lightness. I have canon light and they are lighter yet not as light as the stihl

I don't believe this is correct. I found this: Sorry for the large type but I don't know how to make it smaller when I copy directly from the Husqvarna associated website.
New lightweight chainsaw bars from Husqvarna and Tsumura/Suehiro Seiko Co Everything I can find says these are Tsumura bars not Sugihara.
