Figured I would reply with my findings.

The ear muff replacement set for a Husqvarna helmet is #505 66 53-25 and are about $32
The ear muff bracket (tab that fits in the hardhat) is what broke on mine # 505 67 53-40 and is $8

As far as fitment goes...

My Husqvarna helmet is OK - has been durable and functional. I am not overly thrilled with the suspension system. It should have something nicer and have a twist adjust knob in my opinion. The helmet is odd, so traditional suspension systems do not interchange. The shield is nice for brush cutting and limbing - really nice. It has saved my face and eyes (even though I also wear safety glasses) numerous times.

Never worn a Stihl helmet.

Oregon brands one, Forester brands one, Laser brands one, Peltor and 3M and ??? Probably all made at the same Chinese facility.

If I were to do it again, I would try a $25 helmet off ebay OR get a good MSA hardhat, and fit it with quality muffs and a face screen.

The stihl one I looked at looked very nice. It had a quality suspension and a twist knob adjustment in rear

For what is worth. I put the face mask and ear muffs from a Husqvarna helmet on a 3M hard with a ratchet strap suspension.

Parts for most Husqvarna and STIHL forestry helmets are available from full service dealers (shops, not big box retailers). Each has a few different models, as well as changes through the years, so bring yours with you.

I have replaced suspensions and face shields. Ear muffs are the most expensive components, and at least one dealer advised me to just replace the entire helmet. If you buy the same model you may be able to reuse some parts.

The MSA helmets are sold through safety supply vendors, and places like Grainger and Fastenal. They offer a wide range of choices.

Aa noted, some components will fit some other helmets, although, the manufacturers will probably discourage that.
