Just curious as to why you are selling it.

50cc class is not my “go to” size for my commercial firewood operation. Just wanted to try it out. Great saw but for when I run 50cc’s I prefer the 501p. Just my opinion. Thanks for asking.
What do you prefer about the 501p over the 550xp? I think they're all great saws and it's more of a Chevy vs Ford thing IMO.

I definitely agree it being a Blue Oval vs Bow tie issue. As a guy in his early 50’s, power to weight becomes increasingly important. I just find myself grabbing the lighter saw (501p) first, that’s all. I will also say that I have experienced zero issues with Husky AT (have a 2012 562xpgw). Solid tech. All in all, A great time to be running chainsaws. My two cents.

You have a pretty good price on it. There is supposedly going to be another one day sale this month. I expect folks are waiting for that to get one new in box. I have been debating on getting one myself although I certainly don't need it.

Good explanation for preference @beowulf67 . I have a love/hate thing with my 550xp mk1: when it’s up to temp it is a phenomenal saw with power and balance, put it down for more than two minutes and may have to prime and pull 4 times to start it. Throttle response is more wavering than traditional carbs too after sitting for a short bit.

501p felt breakable at the saw shop but maybe on the wish list.

So I was told by my dealer every time you start it once warm, pull the choke up and flip back down without pulling and do not pull the throttle and then try and start it that way. Not sure if it will help or not.
