Hey guys - I went through and rebuilt another pretty nice 288. I got part of this project from a member here, and part of it from a local trade. This one has a new OEM piston and ring in a very nice Gen 1 Mahle cylinder (A/B piston in an "A" cylinder). It got all the other usual goodies - new bearings (Nachi/KBC), new OEM seals and gaskets, new OEM air filter and fuel system, new OEM ignition trigger unit, new sprocket and clutch drum bearing, and low-hour OEM clutch and drum.

I went through the starter with a new OEM starter spring, handle, and rope, and the air dam is new OEM as well. The crankcase looks good with some minor paint loss. The crank is very nice and the seventh mount is in great shape. The two upper rear vibration mounts are the spring mount type and two front rubber vibration mounts are new OEM.

The high-top cover has a few scratches and a couple dings but looks pretty good. I re-covered the half-wrap handle in the handlebar foam we used to use on the landing saws at the dealership I worked at. It's plush. The chain brake assembly/sprocket cover is new OEM.

I'm also including a full-wrap handle I got with a 281 parts saw I bought from an AS member. It looks like it's had a couple repairs but seems decent and fits ok. The saw is set-up completely stock right now. I might be able to do the RWJ-4 carb conversion if desired.
