I replaced the carb in this trimmer last season.
Got the carb adjustments set right, I thought, where at idle the head doesn’t turn, and at full throttle it goes all out.
However, the last couple times it’s stalled out after I crank it to full throttle.
Sometimes I can’t get it to start back up unless I put the choke in ‘half’ position.

Which mix screw should I adjust so it doesn’t stall out at max throttle?

It's too lean. Tune the carb richer and see where it goes from there.

I have a 128ld and it's really picky on the spark plug type. If I used anything other than and NGK resistor plug it would start loosing sparks about 1/2 it's operating RPM. Sometimes you'd get it to rev out but the rest of the time it would act like it ran out of fuel.

The H needle is for full throttle fuel mixture, the L needle is for the idle mixture. Then there is an idle or RPM screw that adjust the butterfly opening for idle RPM.

Couldn't get it. What's (ballpark) a typical charge for a service center to adjust the air/fuel mixture? $20-$50 US?

Best thing to do is give your local shop a call. Even by me the shop rates vary greatly.
