Hello Jay, were you ever able to do any tinkering on that Wright reciprocating saw I sold you?

I haven't yet. I'm still recovering from the fire in 2020 and haven't been able to work on saws as much as I would like to. I finally have some permanent buildings up to replace the ones I lost, and will be able to get to the projects soon I hope. I have the chainsaw with that engine on it too, and would like to get them working and displayed.
I also took on the project of adding a display room during the whole debacle so I don't have anyone to blame but me.

Oh man, I forgot you were over near Eugene. The Umpqua and Willamette areas just got hammered. Had some parents of friends down by Nimrod that managed to save their house, no one else in that area did though unfortunately. That was bad, very sorry to hear of your losses. If I lived over that way, believe me, I would try to help in any way possible. Good job on getting some replacement structures up! I had looked at some jobs with the usfs over by Detroit which is a little further north-east, that area got nuked too! Was a little surreal to see that. Anyhow, if you get either of those buggers going would definitely be interested in photos or a video of em running. Some interesting history there with those Wright saws.

We only lost outbuildings, our house wasn't damaged at all, so we feel pretty fortunate. I did lose about 35 saws, but 20 of those were parts or project saws. The majority of the saws were in the shop which is attached to the house; again, very fortunate.
I will let you know when I get something done with those Wrights.
