I had a mint 242, a ported 242, and a ported 246. These saws are limbing/ thinning sabres. Their rpm’s are in the neighborhood of 15k (off memory)

15 000 for the 246, 15 500 for the 242 i think is what most literature says. They certainly do turn up.

im not going to far south of 70cc in the foreseeable future. I find myself in bigger stuff mostly and my back prefers I run a bar 24+ bc of my height. Why I sold my 261 arctic- I’m perfectly content running 70cc as my small saw.

Worth asking... i also prefer the long bar. i do use a 20 every now and again on small stuff.
