I could tear up so much with that track loader and have a fun time doing it. I might even buy the fuel for it as well.

Side note, I will never take another animal to Joplin Stockyards again. $1.90lb for that heavy steer and the weight they recorded is very suspect. Trying to find the video of the sale if I can and see what it actually sold for. Looked at their market report and the sold vs. receipts shows a discrepancy of 128 head. First steer hung at 658lbs which would put it at close to 1300lbs at 27 months of age. Somehow the second weighed only 1400lbs at 37 months of age. I have ordered a scale and load cells, nothing will leave here again without a weight being on record.

Sounds like a check from you states weights and measures is much needed. In MN anybody can place a request, and they were required to respond.

I would like to see the video of it selling but I cannot find one yet. Heard too many bad things about it in the past and thought that after getting in trouble they would be doing better, now I am wondering what is going on. I took a chance on taking it on bull/cow sale day seeing as how big it was, not certain that it would do any better on calf sale day. Going to do some sorting and haul some in the next few weeks after the bull is kicked in with the cows. Couple of cull cows are going to Exeter, about 5 times the distance but better prices and not part of the old boys club that Joplin is.

Those are huge. That little dozer will push them over?
It's about a fifty thousand pound machine.....most of em just pop right out, but some of the bigger ones take a little more convincing before falling.

Here's a video of the last (and biggest) white oak being shoved over.

Morning all, 63° to 81° and maybe rain today. Annual ride along so a fun day for me. Shouldn't be too bad, supervisor is on vacation next week and wants done early.

They had one of those here when cleaning up fence rows about 12 years ago. Guy could move a lot of dirt quickly as well, had a couple ponds put in while he was here.

1.36” dumped this morning.

Lots more to our west & south, looks like most of NW MO is in a flood warning or flash flood warning.

@67L36Driver should be chiming in with a river report this afternoon or evening.

Headed to the post office when it opens to send @Hinerman a scientific H2O measuring device.
