The recoil starter on my gennie doesn't want to catch in extreme cold. Works fine in regular weather. Fix or another package from Bruce?

Hasn't been oiled has it ? , try some brake cleaner of a good shot of WD40 or the like . Heavy oil will make them hang up in the cold .

Yeah, it likely just needs lubed. Is the rope crusty?

Nah,went through it back in the summer. I thought I used graphite to lube it. It's got some age on it. The rope's new .

Carpenter, Wyo.
I would take it apart and clean it very well. I mean it works in summer but winter it does not. If something was worn it would never work.
