Hello all, I have encountered an issue with my 42cc homelite. It’s a 2004 model, and for the most part, it has always started and cut very well. I went to start it last week, and it started. However, after letting it warm up when I revved it up to RPM, it bogged down and died. After trying to restart it for 15 minutes, I gave up and let it sit. Keep in mind, I always drain my saw every time I put it away. I had just filled it up with fresh 32:1 mix. If you guys have any thoughts, I would appreciate them. As of now, I believe the spark arrestor clogged up.

It would be helpful to know if plug was wet or dry after your 15 minute attempt. If it was dry, then we would be dealing with a fuel supply issue such as cracked fuel line. If wet, ignition issue such as weak spark or flywheel slipped. I repaired one where the carburetor screws vibrated loose creating an air leak and would not idle.

I never experienced a spark arrestor plugging, but I spose its possible.

I would initially read the manual to see what stock carb settings are.

I think he pretended to be 2 year's older.
I guess he's about 10 or so and followed

I dont this guy you guys are talking about.

But I imagine a lot of us have receive saws in boxes where the owner or a DIYer had taken them completely apart. I know I have and I have had fully reassemble and working the next day or two as long all the parts were there..
